A few of you might remember that at the end of last year, a few #knownames members participated in a collaborative work in the style of Exquisite Corpse.
"Exquisite Corpse is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, with each participant being unaware of what the others have written. The technique was invented by Surrealists, and the name is derived from a phrase that resulted when they first played the game, "Le cadavre exquis boira le vin nouveau." ("The exquisite corpse will drink the new wine.")"
The prompt was silence and the result was this interesting and dynamic poem:
This time round, I would love if we could have even more members participate!
Instead of a word, the prompt will be a song: "[link]" Fairest of them all by Kämmerer. Do not include the title in your lines.
Write a stanza of 1-4 lines. You may put them in any form you wish.
They are due by the 20th November.
Any member or admin may participate.
Send your lines in a note to me (*wei-en) with the subject Exquisite Corpse.
I will compile them in the order that they are received and submit them as a deviation in #knownames. Participators will have their names written in the description.
Any comments, questions or suggestions are very welcome!
